I hate washing silverware. It’s actually my least favorite thing to clean. I’d rather clean mucky pans. But to drop that much money to have them cleaned… yeah, I don’t think so. =) Live and learn, I guess.

Yeah, I agree with you on that one. I read it when I was in 8th grade, and I felt like it was exemplified everything I had been thinking and feeling at the time. I’ve been wanting to re-read it but I’ve been scared to because of the reasons you said above. I don’t want to tarnish the memory I have it now by re-reading it.

I liked it, but I wish I’d read it when I was a lot younger. Now so much of it has been rehashed in movies and books to become cliche. I think it would have been awesome to read as a teenager.

I’m glad that we live in an age where doctors can try to stave cancer off and that your relatives are all doing relatively well. I know what you mean when it comes to sinking into a game to escape reality. The Sims II is my drug of choice. =) And failing that I break out my Pokemon Blue or Silver game.

I’ve only knitted up one kind of hat, the brim roll hat. They are cute and easy knits which is awesome because I’m still very much a beginning knitter. I used the recipe from Crazy Aunt Purl’s website since it’s broken done so easily and fun to read.

I’m on ravelry too (caotica) but I rarely ever use it except to look for patterns and tutorials.
